A Sophisticated Bathroom Reveal

Let’s talk about one of our favorite spaces to design: the bathroom. It's where your day begins, ends, and occasionally where you hide from your family for five peaceful minutes.. This one was due for a glow-up—and glow she does.

At Elizabeth C. Style Interiors, based in sunny California, we love taking a space that’s “just fine” and making it feel elevated, intentional, and full of character. This bathroom? She’s got all that and then some.

We opened things up and made room for a walk-in shower that feels spacious and calming. The handmade Zellige tile on the shower walls brings texture, variation, and charm. In the shower pan, we went with a timeless marble penny round tile that feels luxe underfoot (and looks like a dream).

We also added a large, built-in niche because no one should be juggling shampoo bottles like it’s a circus act.

Perhaps the area we were most excited to design was the vanity. I love a good vanity that looks like a piece of furniture. We custom-designed this one to offer plenty of storage and style—because yes, you can have both. The marble countertops feature a special apron-front detail that gives the whole space a tailored, bespoke look (think: the well-cut blazer of bathroom design).

All of the hardware and fixtures are unlacquered brass—meaning they’ll develop a gorgeous patina over time. We love a finish that tells a story (and gets better with age… just like you).

The vanity area is framed with a beautifully shaped mirror and elegant lighting that feels like jewelry for the space. The lighting is flattering, the vibe is elevated, and the whole bathroom now feels like a breath of fresh air—with really good tile.
